Sussi, we think of you every day and remember
all the wonderful things about you like:
Your small white feet...
Your role as "pack cohesion coordinator" on all our hikes together...
Your fox pounces onto tennis balls...
Your mad-dash charges at Kodiak (your buddy)...
The thump, thump of your tail if we were to glance at you for only a second...
Your beautiful liquid brown eyes...
The warmth of "dog blanket" and your intense snuggles...
Your rapid-fire kisses...
Your joy at stick-chasing into the bay, fearlessly cresting the waves...
But, most of all, we remember your intense devotion and
love and your determination to please us. Your empty bed is a constant
and painful reminder of all that we have lost with your passing. You came
into our lives only a short time ago and stole our hearts. We will always
miss you, little dog.
You were a rare gem.
